Google's Red Nexus 5 image leaks online

Google's rumoured red model of the Nexus 5 has appeared in a purported leaked press photograph, Digital Spy revealed.

Reliable tipster Evleaks published the image of the handset, which is expected to be released on February 4.

Leaked images of a crimson Nexus 5 have previously appeared online, while orange, yellow, green, blue and purple versions of the LG-built device have also been rumoured.

Google's Nexus 5 runs the latest version of Android - 4.4 KitKat - and features a 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB of RAM.

Recent speculation suggests that Google could be planning to discontinue or rebrand the Nexus line in 2015, instead focusing on its Google Play Edition range.

The web giant is yet to officially announce plans to offer the Nexus 5 in other colours beside the standard black and white editions.
