"Game of Thrones" season 4 snippet teases Purple Wedding

HBO has debuted new footage from "Game of Thrones" season 4 via an Instagram video. Though short, the snippet will be enough to tide fans over the show's return with sneak peek at the Royal Wedding between King Joffrey and Margaery Tyrell, who are seen walking down the aisle, AceShowbiz said.

There's also glimpse of Arya in a fight, Sansa enjoying the view outside King's Landing, Bran warging, people burning alive, and Cersei donning an unusual black dress. More epic battle scenes are previewed in the video.

For a longer look at the fourth installment of the medieval series, fans can tune into "Ice and Fire: A Foreshadowing" on Sunday, February 9 at 8:45 P.M. on HBO. It will include a look back at seasons one through three as well as clips from upcoming episdoes, behind-the-scenes footage and cast interviews.

The new season of "Game of Thrones" will premiere April 6, at 9 P.M. New faces in the upcoming season include Red Viper a.k.a. Prince Oberyn (Pedro Pascal), Tycho Nestoris (Mark Gatiss), Styr of the Thenn (Yuri Kolokolnikov), and Hizdahr zo Loraq (Joel Fry).

Meanwhile, Nathalie Emmanuel who plays Daenerys' confidant and trusted advisor Missandei will be promoted to series regular in season 5. She first appeared in season 3 and will continue recurring in season 4.
