The first clip from Nick Cave's upcoming film 20,000 Days on Earth has been released, Digital Spy reported.
The 50-second snippet shows the singer sat at a typewriter, while in a voiceover he contemplates the writing process.
Directed by Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard, 20,000 Days on Earth is a fictionalised account of the 20,000th day of Cave's life.
The film is narrated by Cave and features an appearance by actor Ray Winstone, as well as a cameo by the 56-year-old's one-time collaborator Kylie Minogue.
Last November, Minogue joined Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds on stage at London's Koko for a performance of their 1995 hit 'Where the Wild Roses Grow'.
The duet was also filmed for inclusion in the movie, which is scheduled for release later this year.
