Samsung has added a new handset to its Galaxy line aimed at those looking for a budget 4G-capable device, Digital Spy reported.

The Galaxy Core LTE is an upgraded version of the previous Galaxy Core and Galaxy Core Advanced iterations, with a 4.5-inch screen.

Among the unchanged features are a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 8GB of internal storage, 1GB of RAM and a 5-megapixel camera on the rear.

The screen will remain non-HD, but has increased to a 960 x 540 resolution, compared to the 480 x 800 resolution on its predecessor. However, it will be possible to record 1080p video at 30 frames per second.

A 0.3-megapixel snapper is also available on the smartphone, as well as a 2100mAh battery, microSD card slot, Wi-Fi and DLNA support, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC.

Samsung said the device will be called the Galaxy Core 4G in some regions and will be available in black and white. It's set to be released to parts of Europe, Russia and some regions in Asia, but Samsung is yet to reveal an exact price and release date.
