Last year’s winner Christoph Waltz confirmed as Oscar’s presenter

Christoph Waltz has been confirmed as a presenter at the March 2 Oscars, joining previously announced Daniel Day-Lewis, Jennifer Lawrence and Anne Hathaway. It’s become an Academy Awards tradition for the four acting winners of the previous year to present the trophies in the thesp categories, Variety said.

Also announced, Bette Midler will perform, her first time singing on the show after previous appearances as a presenter.

The “Red Carpet Live” segment, starting at 4 p.m. PT, will be hosted by “Good Morning America” anchors Robin Roberts and Lara Spencer, and Jess Cagle, editor of People and editorial director of Entertainment Weekly. Those three returnees will be joined by actor Tyson Beckford. “Red Carpet Live” will be produced by Brad Lachman; Michael Seligman will serve as supervising producer and Bill Bracken as coordinating producer. Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, producers of the Oscars telecast, are the pre-show’s executive producers.

Awards, hosted by Ellen DeGeneres, will be presented March 2 at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center. They will be televised live on ABC and in more than 225 countries and territories worldwide.
