Baku doesn’t lead OSCE mission to frontline, spreads false reports

Azeri media issued a report alleging a soldier, Akif Aydin Bakhshiyev, was killed in Armenian ceasefire violation at the Terter section of the frontline on April 1.

The Nagorno Karabakh Republic defense army spokesman Senor Hasratyan refuted the information above, stressing that Armenian army observes the ceasefire and agreements reached, Panorama.am said.

According to Karabakh Foreign Ministry, on April 2, in accordance with the arrangement reached with the authorities of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic, the OSCE Mission conducted a planned monitoring of the line of contact between the armed forces of NKR and Azerbaijan in the Hadrut direction near Horadiz settlement.

From the positions of the NKR Defense Army, the monitoring was conducted by Field Assistants of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Khristo Khristov (Bulgaria) and Jiri Aberle (Czech Republic).

From the opposite side of the line of contact, the monitoring was conducted by Field Assistant of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Yevgeny Sharov (Ukraine) and staff member of the Office Peter Svedberg.

The monitoring passed in accordance with the agreed schedule. The Azeri side did not lead the OSCE mission to its frontlines.

From the Karabakh side, the monitoring mission was accompanied by representatives of the NKR Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense.
