Leica T camera with alloy unibody unveiled

Leica has unveiled the Leica T, a compact mirrorless interchangeable lens camera with a stylish aluminium unibody, Digital Spy said.

The company was forced to construct an entire new factory to make the snapper's components, and enlisted the help of automaker Audi to complete the project.

The Leica T comes equipped with a 16.3-megapixel APS-C CMOS image sensor, and offers an ISO range of 100-12,500.

With 16GB of internal memory and built-in Wi-Fi on board, the camera is capable of shooting video footage at 1920 x 1080p.

A 3.7-inch touchscreen resides on the back of the snapper, and a free companion app for iOS and Android devices is included.

The Leica T comes with a new lens mount, with two lenses on offer at launch - an 18-56mm zoom and a 23mm f/2.0 fixed length lens.
