Warner Bros. has pushed back Ben Affleck’s “Live by Night” by 10 months from Christmas Day 2015 to Oct. 7, 2016 — the first title on that date, Variety said.

Affleck is directing from his own script in addition to producing and starring in the adaptation of Dennis Lehane’s novel of the same name about a police officer who descends into a life of crime. Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way and Jennifer Davisson Killoran are also producing.

Lehane also wrote the book which inspired Affleck’s feature directorial debut, “Gone Baby Gone.” “Live By Night” represents Affleck’s first directorial gig since winning the best picture Academy Award for “Argo.”

Affleck is also starring as Batman in Warner Bros.’ untitled Superman-Batman movie. It’s set for release on May 6, 2016 — the same date as Marvel-Disney’s “Captain America 3.”
