Samsung is reportedly developing a new line of tablets dubbed Galaxy Tab S, Digital Spy said.
SamMobile brings word from an inside source that the high-end slates will come in 8.4-inch and 10.5-inch size variants, both of which include fingerprint scanners.
The Galaxy Tab S is said to be the world's first tablet with a 2560 x 1600 AMOLED display. Previous devices have offered this resolution, but featured an LCD panel.
Under the hood, the slates reportedly pack octa-core Exynos 5 processors with four 1.9GHz Cortex-A15 cores and four 1.3GHz Cortex-A7 cores along with 3GB of RAM.
Other purported specs include an 8-megapixel camera, and Google's Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system.
The Galaxy Tab S range is said to resemble the Galaxy Tab 4 line in design and come in WiFi and 4G-ready models.
