Today’s peace is a result of the work, service and fight of the homeland defenders (yerkrapahs), Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan told reporters during his visit to Yerablur Military Pantheon on the occasion of Yerkrapah Day, Panorama.am reported.

“The Armenian army, which ensures security of the Armenian people, was formed on the basis of Yerkrapah detachments. The Armenian army, with its mobilization resource, Karabakh War veterans (freedom fighters) and Yerkrapah volunteers, is a consolidated structure, which is always ready to defend our homeland. The Armenian army is a guarantor of Artsakh’s security; we all will fight for every inch of its land, should Artsakh’s safety be challenged,” Ohanyan said.
