Overseas buyers nab “The Green Prince” Sundance-winning doc

Nadav Schirman’s espionage documentary The Green Prince, which won Sundance's Audience Award, has sold to Rapid Eye Movies in Germany and Against Gravity in Poland in a series of deals ahead of Cannes, The Hollywood Reporter said.

Global Screen, which is handling international sales on the film, also closed deals for Taiwan (Swallow Wings) and Israel (Shani Films). Previously, Music Box Films picked up rights to The Green Prince for the U.S., Curzon took the U.K., Madman Entertainment nabbed Australian and New Zealand rights with Mongrel Media taking Canada.

A real-life thriller, The Green Prince tells the story of the son on one of the leaders of Palestinian group Hamas, who becomes a spy for the Israelis.

Global Screen is screening The Green Prince for buyers at the Cannes film festival.
