Azerbaijani rulers extremely inadequate: Russian expert

After the Crimea story, any disputable territory that affects Russia’s interests, attracts greater attention, a Russian expert said.

However, according to Denis Dvornikov, the case with Nagorno Karabakh is unique.

“I believe that it’s a grave violation of the international law by Azerbaijan and those who support this country. As the situation is very complicated, all major politicians trying to engage in the process, the so-called ‘political celebrities’ will go back home empty-handed, as they don’t possess either strength or tools to resolve this issue,” Dvornikov told PanARMENIAN.Net.

The only way out is the change of the regime in Azerbaijan, as its current rulers are extremely inadequate. “Azerbaijan will have to accept the facts, sooner or later. It will be a long process with the change of a whole generation and eradication of the warmongering education system. Only in this case, Azerbaijan will survive as a state,” he said.

As to Turkey, according to Dvornikov, there are two variants of development. “Turkey will either recognize the Armenian Genocide or break down. It’s a moral issue. The Soviet Union collapsed because it was built upon blood and lies, which serve as a very bad foundation. The modern Turkish state is based on Armenian graves. Besides, there is the Kurdish problem and controversy between political circles,” he said.

Armenians in Russia should closely watch the situation, Dvornikov believes. “The majority of Turks will admit their past one day, as the Armenian nation and the conscious part of the international community are struggling for the right cause,” he said.
