BMW Bang & Olufsen team on 6 Series Gran Coupe special edition

BMW and Bang & Olufsen have teamed on a special edition of the 6 Series Gran Coupe, including a 575 HP M6 version which will see the 4.4-liter V8 twin-turbo engine compete for aural appeal with 1,200W of speakers, SlashGear reports.

Limited in number to just 110 cars, the 2015 BMW Individual 6 Series Gran Coupe "Bang & Olufsen Edition" will be filled with a total of sixteen speakers with matching B&O amps.

The speakers themselves will be distinguished with special brushed black aluminum grilles, while the B&O branding will also appear on the piano-black wood trim adorning the cup holder cover, as well as on the mats.

BMW will offer three versions of the special edition. Cheapest is the 650i B&O Edition, with the TwinPower Turbo V8 and rear-wheel drive; that'll set fans back $116,240. An all-wheel-drive version, the 650xi B&O Edition, will be $119,240.

Both have the M Sport package added, including LED lights, driver assistance tech, and upgraded infotainment. The interior gets full leather in either black or white/black with contrast stitching.

As for the M6 B&O Edition, only ten of the $152,423 cars will be made, all fitted as standard with BMW's Competition Package. Like the other two cars, the M6 will be offered in a choice of white or dark graphite metallic only.

BMW is taking orders now, on a first-come, first-served basis, with deliveries expected to kick off over the summer.
