Nordic cinema won big at Brussels Film Festival with Benedikt Erlingsson’s Icelandic drama “Of Horses and Men” snatching up best film and Swedish artist-turned-filmmaker Anna Odell’s directorial debut, “The Reunion” nabbing best directorial debut. Another Nordic talent, the Norwegian up-and-comer Iram Haq nabbed the script nod for “I Am Yours”, Variety said.

“Of Horses and Men” received the Golden Iris Award for best film.

“The Reunion,” meanwhile, won the White Iris Award. Pic also won the Fedex Cinephile prize, which is given by four young cinema lovers, and the TV Prize of Best Film from broadcaster RTBF.

Richard Ayoade’s British pic “The Double” won the Audience Award Euromillions.

Spanish helmer Alfonso Zarauza’s “Aces” took home the jury award.

The cinematography kudo went to Dick Tuinder for “Farewell to the Moon.” Pic also earned the Prime TV Prize for best film.

Andreas Prochaska’s “The Dark Valley” grabbed the BeTV Prize for best film.

“Vis-a-vis,” from Croatia’s Nevio Marasovic won the Cineuropa Award.
