Nokia unveils X2 Android phone

Nokia has unveiled its X2 handset, a second attempt at a value for money Android phone, Digital Spy said.

The handset, which uses Google's own smartphone operating system rather than Windows Phone, is designed to be a budget phone for emerging markets.

Unlike previous Nokia X phones, however, this handset has been drastically altered to give the same look and feel as Windows Phone. It uses Nokia X software platform 2.0, which adopts similar live tiles and the simple look and feel of Microsoft's OS.

Specifications include a 4.3-inch screen with a 800 x 480 resolution, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and a 5-megapixel camera on the back.

Pricing is €99, and the handset will go on sale in July.
