Apple rolls out new 16GB iPod Touch with 5-megapixel iSight camera

Apple has expanded its iPod Touch line with the launch of a new 16GB model of the music player, Digital Spy said.

The device comes with a 5-megapixel iSight camera, a wrist strap and 4-inch Retina display, joining the range with a price tag of $270.

The previous 16GB iPod Touch model did not include an iSight snapper or wrist strap, despite costing more than its successor.

Joining the existing 32GB and 64GB versions on the market, the device is powered by an A5 processor, runs iOS 7 and features a front-facing FaceTime HD camera.

The new iPod Touch is available in black, space grey, pink, yellow, blue and red.

It will be compatible with Apple's upcoming iOS 8 mobile operating system when it launches in October.
