Google's unannounced Nexus 9 tablet specs leak online

Google's unannounced Nexus 9 tablet may have had its specs leaked online by a known Twitter tipster, Digital Spy reveals.

Evleaks has published information about the HTC-made device's internals, suggesting that it will be one of the most powerful products in its category.

Also referred to as the HTC Volantis, the slate is said to boast a 64-bit Tegra K1 processor and 5GB of RAM, although the source notes that the final version of the tablet may ship with less memory.

An 8.9-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600, a 5-megapixel camera with 1080p shooting capabilities, and 64GB of internal storage are also listed.

The Nexus 9 is expected to feature a silver aluminium unibody and BoomSound speakers, like the critically acclaimed HTC One M8 smartphone.

Google is yet to officially announce the tablet, but has confirmed that new Nexus hardware is on the way.
