“Sin City: A Dame to Kill For” trailer features Jessica Alba

Jessica Alba returns for “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For” but she's not the same woman she was in the 2005 original film, TheWrap reported.

A lot has happened to Nancy Callahan (Alba) since the suicide of John Hartigan (Bruce Willis). In a new clip from the upcoming sequel, Nancy is seen contemplating her future, and making a drastic change.

All the while, the specter of Hartigan can be seen over her shoulder, haunting her waking moments. Has she lost it? As she grabs a pair of scissors, she says, “Maybe I'll go crazy. Crazy's sounding pretty good right now.”

The next time we see her, she's definitely presenting a drastically changed look — complete with heavy lipstick and eyeshadow, dark tresses, and stitched scars on her face — as she locks and loads, preparing to get into some kind of trouble with Mickey Rourke‘s Marv, no doubt.

“Sin City: A Dame to Kill For” reunites much of the original's cast, as well as several new faces. It also stars Josh Brolin, Rosario Dawson, Dennis Haysbert, Christopher Meloni, Jeremy Piven, Jaime King, Stacy Keach, Eva Green, Ray Liotta, and Lady Gaga.

Based on the graphic novels by Frank Miller, this second film in the “Sin City” saga was directed by Miller and Robert Rodriguez off of Miller's screenplay. The film is a production of Troublemaker Studios, Aldamisa Entertainment, Miramax Films, Demarest Films, Solipsist Films, and Quick Draw Productions. Dimension Films will release the film to theaters on Friday, August 22, 2014.
