Google's Android Wear launch soured by bug?

The launch of Google's Android Wear has reportedly been soured by a bug preventing paid apps from installing on the smartwatch operating system, Digital Spy reveals.

Android Police claims that the web giant's App Encryption security feature is preventing wearable devices from installing premium software.

The report notes that the glitch lies in Android Wear's inability to extract the file of the encrypted APK.

Only a handful of paid apps are currently available for Android Wear, but Google is expected to act quickly to correct the flaw to avoid tarnishing the reputation of its new platform.

The first wave of Android Wear devices launched this week, with the LG G Watch and the Samsung Gear Live leading the charge.
