New French Co-chair holds Karabakh consultations at U.S. State Dept.

The new French Co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group Pierre Andrieu is holding consultations on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, the U.S. Co-chair said.

“Pleased to welcome new French OSCE Co-chair, Pierre Andrieu, to the U.S. State Department for consultations on Nagorno Karabakh,” James Warlick said in his Twitter post.

On July 7, the French Co-chair met with the Russian State Secretary - Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin to discuss the Karabakh conflict and coordinate of the OSCE MG co-chairing states’ activities.

Ambassador Pierre Andrieu first visited the Nagrno Karabakh with the Co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group (Ambassadors Igor Popov of the Russian Federation, Jacques Faure of France, and James Warlick of the United States of America) and the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk who travelled to the region May 16-19.
