Armenian soldier Gevorg Avagyan, 20, sustained a deadly injury at a frontline in the southern direction of the line of contact between the Nagrono Karabakh and Azerbaijani defense forces.

An investigation into the details of the incident was launched.

As Defense Ministry's investigation service reported later, Avagyan's co-serviceman Armen Sargsyan was detained on suspicion of murder, with a criminal case instigated.
