The Azerbaijani armed forces kept violating the ceasefire, firing over 600 shots upon Armenian positions overnight and on Tuesday, Aug 5 morning.

According to the press office of the Armenian Defense Ministry, the total number of ceasefire violations during Aug 4 and 5 reached 45 with over 6500 shots fired from various caliber weapons.

Meanwhile, the Artsakh Defense Ministry reported 859 violations of the ceasefire, of which 830 were fixed along the Karabakh contact line. “11 495 shots were fired upon the Armenian positions. The Armenian side replied 29 times, of which 12 along the Karabakh contact line, firing 3616 shots.

Junior sergeant Aram Grigoryan, 43, was killed by sniper fire at one of the outposts located in the northern direction of Karabakh border.
