Nokia Lumia 720 mid-range smartphone details leak online

Microsoft is apparently adding a new mid-range smartphone to its product line in the form of the Nokia Lumia 720, Digital Spy reported.

Images of the unannounced Windows Phone handset have leaked on WP Central, along with specs details.

The device will reportedly feature a 4.7-inch display and attempt to tap into the selfies craze with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

Details about the device's chipset were not divulged, but one of the leaked photos suggest it will ship with a refreshed version of the Nokia firmware.

Little is known about the software besides its 'Debian Red' codename and rumoured November release date, which could indicate when the Lumia 720 is due to launch.

Microsoft is yet to cater for the mid-range of the market with its smartphone releases, having previously launched the high-end Lumia 930 and 1520, as well as the budget Lumia 630, 635 and 530.
