David Cronenberg’s “Maps to the Stars” trailer features Julianne Moore

The a new trailer for David Cronenberg‘s “Maps to the Stars” makes it look like Julianne Moore’s character might be in danger when she hires a personal assistant, played by Mia Wasikowska, TheWrap reported.

Audiences, however, may end up rooting for Wasikowska, because Moore plays a narcissistic actress who complains more about her job than actually doing it.

John Cusack co-stars as a rich self-help guru who counts Moore as a client, and Wasikowska as a daughter.

“I don't know if she's dangerous,” Cusack's character says in an ominous clip in the preview (above) — the first from distributor Entertainment One Films.

Robert Pattinson, who took the lead in Cronenberg's “Cosmopolis,” also has a role as a limo driver. Previously released clips ahead of the movie's Cannes premiere proved Pattinson will have a steamy sex scene or two with Moore.

“Maps to the Stars,” written by author Bruce Wagner, will debut in theaters on Oct. 31.
