Samsung is apparently working on a mid-range smartphone with a premium design, that is made from neither metal nor plastic, Digital Spy said.
The Galaxy A5 is coated in a mystery material that "feels cold in the hand", according to rumours website SamMobile.
The unnamed material is said to give the device a luxurious feel, while keeping the cost relatively low compared to metal-clad handsets.
Leaked photographs of the Galaxy S5 suggest that it will have at least some metallic parts, with a metal band visible along the edges.
Under the hood, the phone is said to include Snapdragon 400 processor, 16GB of storage, and a 2,330-mAh battery, powering a 5-inch HD Super AMOLED display and a 13-megapixel camera.
As Samsung is yet to officially announce the Galaxy A5.
