Aaron Paul joins “The 9th Life of Louis Drax” bestseller adaptation

Aaron Paul is set to co-star with Jamie Dornan in the Miramax thriller “The 9th Life of Louis Drax”, Variety said.

Alexandre Aja is directing the pic.

The film is based on Liz Jensen’s best-selling novel, which revolves around a psychologist (Dornan) who begins working with a young boy who has suffered a near-fatal fall and finds himself drawn into a mystery that tests the boundaries of fantasy and reality.

Paul will play the boy’s father.

Max Minghella penned the script and will produce along with Aja, Tim Bricknell and Shawn Williamson.

Paul, who is repped by UTA and Leverage Management, recently won his third Emmy for his role as Jesse Pinkman in AMC’s “Breaking Bad.” He was last seen in DreamWorks’ “Need for Speed” and recently wrapped production on Open Road’s “Triple Nine.”

He will next appear opposite Christian Bale in Fox’s “Exodus: Gods and Kings” and Russell Crowe in “Fathers and Daughters.”
