The Armenian Brigade motorcycle riders club will initiate a Los Angeles-Yerevan cross country race on the centenary of the Genocide, the club founder said.
As Harutyun Bagaryan told Novosti-Armenia, the club seeks to contribute to the international Genocide recognition campaign, with over 40 bikers to participate in the action.
On April 24, 2015 the bikers will arrive at Tsitsernakaberd Memorial in Yerevan, with those who stay in Los Angeles to organize a rally in the U.S.
According to Bagaryan, the racers will be stopping outside of the embassies of non-friendly countries to stage rallies, as well as thanking the courtiers who’ve already recognized the 1915 atrocities.
“With weather forecasts predicting snowfalls in Europe, we might have to exclude the European route from the race. In that case, we’ll extend it within the U.S. and spend more time in Yerevan,” Bagaryan said.
The Armenian Brigade club was created in January 2014 through the efforts of 5 U.S.-based Armenian bikers.
