Adobe Creative Cloud coming to Chrome OS-powered PCs

Adobe Creative Cloud is finally coming to Chrome OS-powered PCs, but it will initially be exclusive to education customers in the U.S., Digital Spy said.

A streaming version of Photoshop, compatible with Chromebooks or the Chrome browser, is being beta tested as part of an initiative between Adobe and Google.

"This streaming version of Photoshop is designed to run straight from the cloud to your Chromebook. It's always up-to-date and fully integrated with Google Drive, so there's no need to download and re-upload files - just save your art directly from Photoshop to the cloud," said Google in a statement.

"For IT administrators, it's easy to manage, with no long client installation and one-click deployment to your team's Chromebooks."

Project Photoshop Streaming will work directly with files stored in Google Drive, but will not be compatible with mobile devices running the Chrome browser.

Eligibility requirements for the Project Photoshop Streaming beta can be found via Adobe's website.
