Amazon Prime customers get free e-books with Kindle First

Amazon is offering Prime subscribers one free e-book per month as part its new Kindle First programme, Digital Spy said.

The promotion lets users choose between four editorially-selected titles each month, up to four weeks before the nominated books are due for release.

The Kindle First programme has already launched, so Prime subscribers can log into their account and download their first free e-book now.

Launch titles include From the Cradle by Mark Edwards and Louise Voss, The Glassblower by Petra Durst-Benning, The Fallow Season of Hugo Hunter by Craig Lancaster, and My Sisters' Grave by Robert Dugoni.

Non-subscribers will still benefit from the programme, as they can purchase a selected title for $1.6 each month.

Kindle First downloads will be available across all Kindle products as well as devices running the Kindle app.
