Microsoft designs keyboard for Android Wear

Microsoft has designed a clever little keyboard for both round and square Android Wear devices, Digital Spy said.

Users can write single letters onto the watch face, meaning that voice commands are no longer the only way of writing on Android Wear.

Designed by Microsoft Research, the new keyboard offers a handy way of working around Android Wear's sometimes unpredictable voice commands.

Each letter is drawn out by hand, allowing full sentences and replies to be slowly formulated straight from your wrist.

The system is reminiscent of Audi's own MMI input method for addresses on its sat nav systems.

It's also not unlike the simple communication system that Apple is developing for its own soon-to-be-released Apple Watch.

The keyboard is live and available to download now.
