HTC One M8 update brings new camera features

HTC is bringing the specialist camera features included in the Desire Eye smartphone to its existing devices, including the flagship HTC One M8 handset, according to Digital Spy.

The HTC Eye Experience is a 250MB download that comes bundled with Android 4.4.4, which is being distributed right now.

The update brings a host of new camera modes, including Split Capture for splicing together images from the front and rear cameras, Crop-Me-In for superimposing users into a scene, and Photo Booth for snapping multiple selfies in sequence.

It also comes with a range of new camera features, such as Auto Selfie, voice controls for your snapper, Video Face Tracking, and Video Screen Sharing.

The HTC Eye Experience is currently being distributed to HTC One M8 devices, with some users likely to receive it before others based on their geographic location and network provider.

It will also be released for the original HTC One, HTC One E8, HTC One Mini, HTC One Mini 2, HTC One Max, HTC Desire 816, HTC Desire 820 and HTC Butterfly 2 in the coming months.
