Yerevan hosts AmCham Annual General Meeting

American Chamber of Commerce in Armenia (AmCham) held its consecutive Annual General Meeting in Armenia Marriott Hotel.

The meeting chaired by AmCham president David Atanessian focused on the recent achievements, development prospects of the organization and its financial reports.

In his speech, the newly elected AmCham President Tigran Jrbashyan emphasized that to protect the interests of the member companies and address the issues raised by them in a more effective manner, “there is a need to establish cooperation in 4 key areas: first, establish active dialog and promote joint projects between member companies, second, share experience with non-member companies, third, promote public-private partnership and participation in legislative reforms, and fourth, raise public awareness of AmCham.”

The American Chamber of Commerce in Armenia is an independent business association operating in Armenia continuously since 2000. AmCham represents interests of around 100 member-companies from various segments of Armenian economy. In pursuit of better business environment and promotion of the best business practices, AmCham closely cooperates with the Armenian government, international organizations, and wider business community. AmCham is a member of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and European Council of American Chambers of Commerce.
