Microsoft rolls out update for Outlook email client

Microsoft has rolled out an update for its Outlook email client on Mac, Digital Spy said.

New features include improved threading, a new user interface and online archiving for finding old emails stored on the platform.

Microsoft said that the update was distributed to bring the Mac service in line with its PC counterpart, giving it the same look and feel.

The new interface introduces improved scrolling and agility when switching between Ribbon tabs and a Master Category List feature that enables users to name and colour lists that sync between devices.

The update is free for Office 365, Office 365 Home, Office 365 Personal and Office 365 University subscribers and is available to download now.

Microsoft has also confirmed that it will launched a public beta version of the next edition of Office for Mac in the first half of 2015.
