Putin and Aliyev Discussed Karabakh Settlement
Vladimir Putin discussed the Nagorno Karabakh settlement with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and will proceed with the topic with Armenian leader Robert Kocharian in Minsk, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov informed. In his words, there is hope for a peaceful resolution of the conflict, however problems still remain and the dialogue will be continued by Vladimir Putin and Robert Kocharian. Lavrov reminded that the Russian and Armenian Presidents will take part in the CSTO summit to be held in Minsk next week.

The Russian FM remarked that Russia as the OSCE MG Co-chair assists the parties to reach an agreement, however settlement can be achieved on a mutually admissible basis only, reported RIA Novosti.
