Google unveils Chrome bookmarks extension

Google is hoping to make bookmarks more accessible with a new extension for Chrome.

The Google Bookmark Manager moves away from a standard list of links and instead displays your favorites into a grid of tidy, illustrated boxes, Digital Spy reports citing TechCrunch.

Not only are they easier on the eye, the extension will automatically organise your existing bookmarks by topic, which you can also edit as before. A suggested folder will be given each time you add a new bookmark.

Meanwhile, Google will update the image snapshots and descriptions of each bookmark wherever possible.

Users can also set their folders of bookmarks to public and share them with friends.

As was previously the case, it is possible to sync bookmarks across all devices with the new extension.
