Kerry says no link between Iran talks, other Mideast issues

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said on Saturday, Nov 8, that there was no link between talks on Iran's nuclear program and other issues in the Middle East, according to Reuters.

The United States has already rejected a proposal floated by Iranian officials in which Tehran would cooperate in the fight against Islamic State forces in exchange for flexibility on its nuclear program.

Meanwhile, according to a RIA Novosti report, on the sidelines of the Asian-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in Beijing, Kerry and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov discussed the situation in Syria and the U.S. agreed with Russia's thesis that during the talks, the country's opposition should be represented by a group formed by various coalitions.
