Armenian-invented Boft machine makes prints from Instagram account

The world's fist kiosk which makes Polaroid-size prints from a phone or Instagram account has been invented by Russian-Armenian entrepreneurs Tos Movsisyan and Artem Garmeryan, who're certain that it's one of a kind, Vedomosti reports.

Experienced in online business, Muscovite Tos Movsisyan and St. Petersburg-based Artem Garmeryan first met at Lappeenranta University of Technology in Finland.

Having left the University they continued to communicate, later coming up with the idea of a Boft machine "to materialize emotions," as they put it.

The mostly female-oriented project took $200,000 in investments, with the inventors contributing their own savings, as well as loans from their well-provided friends.

The implementation of the project, including the software development, and search for a manufacturer, among other details, took over a year, with the first machine released in 2014 in Moscow.
