Twitter adds array of photo filters on mobile

Twitter has announced that it has added an array of new filters for its mobile apps, Digital Spy reveals.

Users on iOS and Android now have a wider range of filter styles to choose between and can sift through them with greater ease.

witter account holders can apply a filter to their photograph after adding it to a tweet by tapping the thumbnail to call up an options menu.

Twitter has introduced numerous updates in recent months, including the launch of its "popular tweets" feature, which places "relevant and interesting" content in users' timelines regardless of whether they follow the original poster.

The company has been proactive in making the service more user-friendly, pushing out an update in September to help newcomers get started by serving them recommended content based on their interests.

The revamped Twitter apps are available to download for free from Google Play and the App Store.
