Muse unveil another taster of music from new 7th album

Muse have unveiled yet another taster of music from their upcoming seventh album, Gigwise reports.

Posted on the band's Instagram page, the short video shows the band in the studio in Milan , recording a lush and swooping orchestral section - before cutting to frontman Matt Bellamy looking rather satisfied with the sound.

The band had previously done a run of studio sessions in Canada , before taking a break and telling fans it had been "emotional". The new LP is being produced by legendary AC/DC producer Robert 'Mutt' Lange, after they told fans to expect the record to be released in summer 2015.

In a series of tweets earlier this summer, frontman Bellamy described the new album's central themes as "deep ecology, the empathy gap and World War 3." There may be high levels of irony in this part. He also revealed that his disdain for guitar solos has mellowed on the new album, and mentioned a "sequel" to Origin Of Symmetry track 'Citizen Erased'. The band have previously spoken about how the record will be 'rockier', 'more raw' and much more back to basics than the synth and classical-inspired sounds on their more recent albums.

Among the recent teasers was also clip in which Matt Bellamy was seen playing along to a steady beat by drummer Dom Howard, but with his guitar part muted. Now, the more musical Muse fans have begun attempting to guess what the track will sound like by following Matt's movements on the fretboard and playing along.

Muse are currently confirmed to headline many festivals across Europe in 2015 - including Download Festival.
