Coldplay premieres “Miracles” lyric vid with “Unbroken” footage

As previously reported, Coldplay wrote and recorded a new song called "Miracles" for the upcoming "Unbroken" movie. The British group then decided to drop a lyric video for the track for fans' viewing pleasure, AceShowbiz reported.

Debuted on Monday, December 22, the clip features a number of scenes from the Angelina Jolie-directed flick. The song's lyrics flash across the shots showing Jack O'Connell as Olympic distance runner Louis "Louie" Zamperini.

"Unbroken" focuses on the life of Zamperini who managed to survive in a raft for 47 days after a near-fatal plane crash in WWII but was later caught by the Japanese Navy and sent to a prisoner-of-war camp. The film is opening in U.S. theaters this Christmas. Coldplay's "Miracles", which is already expected to snag an Oscar nomination, will play when the credits are rolling.

Recently, the band's frontman Chris Martin "revealed" how he ended up getting involved in the project. "I got a message that said, 'Meet in this undisclosed location. You'll be blindfolded and picked up by seven ex-Navy SEALs,' " he jokingly said in an interview with Vulture.

"So they kidnapped me, hit me over the head, and sprayed me with Mace. When I woke up, I was in an office, and Brad Pitt was doing push-ups as Angelina Jolie was just sitting there with her crown on. There was also a guy holding a knife to my throat, and she said, 'Write me a song, or else.' And Brad Pitt said, 'Yeah. What she said,' " he added.
