John Cusack and Jackie Chan are teaming up in a new movie "Dragon Blade". The period film which also stars Adrien Brody released its first trailer via Check magazine, showing Chan proposing an alliance with Cusack's Roman general character, AceShowbiz said.
"Dragon Blade" focuses on Chan's Huo An who's a Commander of the Protectorate of the Western Regions. Cusack plays Lucius, a Roman general who meets Chan in the Western part of China. "We're friends. I want to help you," Chan tells Cusack. Oscar-winning actor Brody, meanwhile, plays Tiberius who assassinates Rome's Consul Crassus and is after Tiberius. He can be seen torturing Cusack in the trailer and tells him, "His crime is that he took the place in your hearts that belonged to me."
Directed by Daniel Lee ("14 Blades", "Three Kingdoms: Resurrection of the Dragon"), the movie opens internationally on February 18 on regular, 3D and 3D IMAX theaters. So far, it has no U.S. release date. Apart from Cusack, Chan and Brody, it stars Peng Lin ("Little Big Soldier", "The Viral Factor"), Choi Siwon ("Athena: Goddess of War") and Sharni Vinson ("You're Next").
