Samsung launching more powerful Galaxy Note 4 in native S. Korea

Samsung is launching a more powerful version of the Galaxy Note 4 in its native South Korea, Digital Spy reports.

The Galaxy Note 4 LTE-A includes advanced LTE capabilities and a next-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor.

The phone's eight-core chipset comprises four Cortex-A53 and four Cortex-A57 cores, with the processor able to strike a balance between battery life and raw power by assigning tasks to the most appropriate cores.

This is not expected to make it faster than the quad-core Snapdragon 805 found in the UK edition of the Galaxy Note 4, but may have a bearing on battery life.

The Galaxy Note 4 LTE-A supports Cat 9 LTE that will future proof the device where 4G connectivity is concerned, allowing it to support speeds of up to 450Mbps.

Samsung is yet to confirm whether the handset will be available outside of Asia.
