CAUCASUS INCLUDED IN PRIORITY OF GREEK PRESIDENCY AT EU
"The Caucasus and Central Asia have gained huge importance in international affairs," - stated US ambassador to Greece Thomas Miller. As reported by "Mediamax" agency, the American diplomat emphasized that Washington expected "intense dialogue" with Athens on three directions Greece had selected for the period of its presidency at the European Union: South-Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia. "The Caucasian and Central Asian regions are presented on the map in the way they were before. These regions play a key role in international struggle against terrorism. In spite of the fact that the Caucasian and Central Asian countries experience transition period, they work for building a stable democracy and market economy," - Miller said.
