Lorde talks "Pure Heroine" album follow-up

Lorde has revealed that she has some "amazing stuff" written for her next album, Digital Spy said.

The singer is currently working on the follow-up to her 2013 debut album Pure Heroine and has begun to add music to her lyrics.

For me I have to kind of write a project lyrically before I attack it musically," Lorde told MTV at the Golden Globes in Los Angeles last night (January 11).

"So I've written a lot of amazing stuff and I'm just tentatively starting to make it music."

Asked when fans can expect to hear the new music, Lorde replied: "I have no timeline. I really don't care. You have to be a different person and write a different record."

Lorde's debut album Pure Heroine peaked at number three on the US Billboard 200 and four on the UK chart.

It spawned the massive hit 'Royals', as well as follow-up singles 'Tennis Court' and 'Team'.
