"Gone Girl" may get a sequel one day. Author Gillian Flynn hinted at the possibility of making a sequel during a recent interview at the BAFTA LA Annual Awards Season Tea Party, saying that it could happen "at some point" as long as the project involves the original team, AceShowbiz reports.

"There could be a sequel at some point if everyone is game to get the gang back together, it could be really fun a few years from now. We could pick it up and see what those crazy Dunnes are up to a few years down the road and if they got on - not well I don't think," she told New York Daily News. "I would have to have the exact same people to do it - I would want [Rosamund Pike], [Ben Affleck] and [David Fincher] to do it."

"Gone Girl" tells the story of a man named Nick Dunne who is accused of murdering his wife. Affleck plays the husband while Pike portrays the wife, Amy. Directed by Fincher, the movie which generated buzz during the awards season also features appearances from Neil Patrick Harris as Pike's obsessive ex-boyfriend, Tyler Perry and Kim Dickens among others.

In related news, "Gone Girl" DVD and Blu-Ray are coming out in stores on January 13 via Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment and they will include a children's book "Amazing Amy: Tattle Tale". The first pages of the book which is mentioned in the movie landed online on Monday courtesy of MTV News, showing Amy doing her activities before going to school with lovely images.
