Azerbaijani troops continue with their infiltration attempts in various sections of the borer with Armenia and line of contact with the Nagorno Karabakh Republic armed forces.

As Defense Ministry spokesman Artsrun Hovhannisyan said in his Facebook post, Azeri armed forces are carrying on with tactically senseless subversions in total disregard of their multiple losses, which are kept under cover.

Over 300 instances of Azeri ceasefire violation were reported on the night of Jan 23, with the commando groups attacking Armenian positions deployed near Armenian city of Berd. On spotting the rival, Armenian units engaged into a combat, repelling the rival who suffered looses.

On Armenian side, lieutenant Karen Galstyan and private Artak Sargsyan were killed in action.

According to Hovhannisyan, Azerbaijani leadership must bear full responsibility for escalation of the situation.
