Christina Aguilera has worked with one of the hottest producers in the game for her new album. The singer revealed she'd done a collaboration with fellow "The Voice" coach Pharrell Williams as she chatted with Extra to promote her return to the NBC singing contest, AceShowbiz reports.

"During my pregnancy, I had a meeting with him and just connected on where I want to take the next album," said Aguilera, who took a break from "The Voice" when she was pregnant with her second child last year. "And we started talking music, and he has one song in particular that I love."

Aguilera continued working on the follow-up to 2012's "Lotus" after she gave birth to daughter Summer Rain Rutler back in August. She has yet to set the new project's official release date. "I just have to make sure it's right, and it's genuine and it's heartfelt, and I'm very excited to pour my heart out into this record fully," she explained.

"I've been gathering and writing and coming up with these amazing ideas for different parts of how I was feeling the past year, so I'm really excited to vocalize all of it and make it all come together," she added.

Recently, Aguilera was announced as a performer for the NBA All-Star Game. The NBA said that she would be kicking off the Sunday, February 15 game at NY's Madison Square Garden with "a New York-themed medley." She will be joined by the legendary dance troupe the Rockettes.
