Samsung announces Galaxy Unpacked 2015 event in March

Samsung has announced a Galaxy Unpacked 2015 event to be held next month, Digital Spy reveals.

The smartphone maker has sent out invites for the occasion, which takes place on March 1.

The invitation gives little away, except an image of a curved device with the header, "What's next".

Samsung's event takes place during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona and is tipped to mark the launch of the Galaxy S6.

There are no solid details about the company's next flagship smartphone, although it is highly likely to have a metal design instead of plastic.

Recent reports suggest that the handset will come in two variants: a standard edition and a model with a curved display like the Galaxy Note Edge.

Rumours elsewhere have tipped the Galaxy S6 to feature a 5.5in QHD display, a 64-bit octa-core Exynos chip, 3GB of RAM and a 20-megapixel camera.
