European Film Market buyers line up for “Operation Arctic” actioner

TrustNordisk has snatched up major-territory sales on Grethe Boe-Waal’s adventure actioner “Operation Arctic” rolling off at its Sundance premiere, according to Variety.

TrustNordisk has now closed Germany (Telepool), France (Swift Distribution), Bulgaria (Pro Films), Estonia (Estinfilm) and Ro-In Entertainment (Iran) at European Film Market.

“Operation Arctic” had its U.S. premiere at the Sundance Film Festival where it screened as part of the Kids program.

Produced by Filmkameratene, the Norwegian outfit behind B.O. hits such as “Max Manus” and “Troll Hunter,” the Arctic Ocean set movie centers around three children who are left accidentally left behind on a deserted Arctic island, where they face blizzards and hungry polar bears.

John M. Jacobsen, Sveinung Golimo and Marcus Brodersen produced the film for Filmkameratene with support from the Norwegian Film Institute and Filmfond Nord.
