Google is giving out 2GB of free Drive storage

Google is giving out free Drive storage to mark Safer Internet Day, Digital Spy reports.

Users can gain an extra 2GB of space for the cloud storage service by completing a security check on their account.

Those interested should move quickly as the promotion is only available until February 17. The extra storage will be added to accounts by February 28.

The simple security check takes no more than two minutes and requires users to verify recent account activity, such as when and where you accessed your account last.

Organisations across the world have been taking part in Safer Internet Day activities on February 10, including awareness sessions at schools and businesses.
